Heather A. Provino
Chief Executive Officer

Heather is an exercise physiologist and sport psychologist who transformed her passion for health into a national provider of worksite health and wellness solutions.  Her leadership has shaped Provant's commitment to industry best practices in the form of regular accreditation with the National Committee for Quality Assurance, adherence to Six Sigma process management standards, and the development of customized wellness programs that reduce employee health risks and build cultures of health.  Prior to Provant, Heather spent more than a decade in the health promotion and management industry.  She was responsible for the operation of wellness centers in Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island and provided strategic development for wellness and rehabilitative services as a private consultant.  Heather holds two Master of Science degrees in Exercise Physiology and Sport Psychology.  She is an active supporter of the Rhode Island chapter of the American Heart Association.

 

Daniel Scanlon
Chief Operating Officer

Dan provides strategic and tactical oversight that supports the organization’s delivery of all programs, products and services offered. He has more than 20 years experience managing organizational operations of large businesses and start-ups. Prior to Provant, he managed operations for a commercial construction company with multiple facets of product delivery. He is also a licensed EMT and CPR Instructor with a passion for health and well-being.

A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Dan is a licensed pilot, a runner and an active member of the Rhode Island sailing community. He serves on the board of the Warwick Boys & Girls Club and is involved in Rotary International.

 

 

Nancy Brock
Chief Growth Officer

Nancy's experience includes more than 20 years of designing, developing and implementing innovative health care programs for Fortune 500 companies as well as mid-sized employers.  Her scope of expertise includes Consumer-Driven Health Care programs, Managed Care programs, Employee Assistance Programs, and Health and Wellness programs.  Prior to Provant, she served as National Vice President of Consumer Strategy with UnitedHealthcare; Senior Vice President of Strategic Health Solutions with HealthGrades; and Senior Vice President of Sales with Lumenos.  Nancy holds a Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and has been recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership, and excellence in her career. Since 2010, she has served on the Board of the March of Dimes Maryland-National Capital Area Chapter.

 

 

David Ashley, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer

David Ashley, MD, MBA, leads Provant’s clinical teams with medical oversight on health strategy and all clinical practices, and oversees all custom wellness programs and services developed for employers and their employees nationwide.

His nearly 20 years of diverse medical practice includes primary care, military combat and emergency medicine. In addition to his role as Chief Medical Officer for Provant, Dr. Ashley is a practicing primary care physician who actively shares his expertise with the medical community in his responsibilities as President of the Rhode Island Academy of Family Physicians; Chief Flight Surgeon for the Rhode Island Air National Guard; and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School. He is a fervent advocate of integrating true medical home models with current medical practices as well as the adoption and utilization of electronic medical records for better patient care. These strengths contribute to Dr. Ashley’s success in the Consumer-Driven Health Care arena including preventive medicine in the corporate space.

Prior to Provant, Dr. Ashley served as the Medical Director of multi-physician practices. He holds certifications in ATLS, ACLS and BLS. He is a graduate of Brown University’s School of Medicine and has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island. He is also fluent in Spanish.

 

 

Barbara Haydon
Vice President of Clinical Services

Barbara has more than 30 years of healthcare experience including clinical, research, rehabilitation and wellness programs and services.  She has worked in many facets of the health care system, including clinical service lines, National Institutes of Health supported research, risk management, and rehabilitation and wellness services.  Barbara oversees Provant's onsite logistics and operations.  She also is responsible for federal and state compliance and the clinical review of Provant's customized wellness programs.  She holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

 

Audrey Ferns
Director of Data and Reporting

Audrey has more than 30 years experience designing, developing and managing data and reporting systems in large healthcare systems.   She has worked in many facets of health care clinical services, including administration, rehabilitation and wellness.  She is instrumental in the strategic management of data and reporting solutions that support our clients and safeguard our accountability.  
 

Lauren Koretzki
Director of Account Management

Lauren oversees the day-to-day operations of Provant’s Account Management, which is responsible for client service, program implementation, and project management.  She works directly with benefits professionals and their on-site staff to ensure proper service delivery and program implementation throughout North America.  Additionally, she assesses all of the client components that shape wellness strategy recommendations, such as current benefit design and incentive strategy, company culture and leadership commitment to wellness goals.  Prior to Provant, she worked as a health policy analyst for the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where she developed policy and programming related to health promotion and wellness, maternal and child health, preventive health and administration.  She holds a Master in Public Administration degree and is a Certified Health Education Specialist.

 

Jackie Mazza
Controller, Vice President of Finance

Jackie's primary responsibilities are to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations and to maintain the financial integrity of the business with the highest degree of professionalism.

Prior to Provant, Jackie spent 15 years as an Audit Manager in the public sector and a Controller in private industry. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Roger Williams University and a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from the University of Vermont as well as a Master's degree in Management from Lesley University. She is a member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
